Pink pitaya (also known as dragonfruit, strawberry pear or Honolulu Queen) powder is rich in antioxidants, specifically lycopene and beta-carotene. Beta-carotene contains vitamin A and is known to help prevent/reduce oxidative stress, which in turn protects from disease. Pink pitaya is also a great source of natural fibre/prebiotic and helps with healthy digestive functioning.

The other part of this DIY Gummi Bear Duo is green spirulina, which is renowned as a top superfood. Green spirulina, a blue-green algae, is pet-friendly and is excellent for dogs with food allergies/sensitivities. It’s also high in protein, vitamins and minerals like copper, iron, and vitamin B, and contains anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, neuroprotective, and gut-supporting properties.
